Confined spaces can pose significant hazards to workers. Understanding the dangers and precautions associated with confined space entry is critical for preventing injuries and fatalities on the job. Confined spaces, such as tanks, vessels, silos, and pipelines, often have limited or restricted means for entry and exit, as well as limited natural ventilation, creating a potentially life-threatening environment. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported 1,030 workers died from incidents involving a confined space from 2011 to 2018, highlighting the importance of proper training and safety measures. This course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely enter and work in confined spaces.
