This course provides a comprehensive guide to correctly executing practices that are required by the Clean Water Act (CWA) and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). Beginning with an overview of the CWA, this is followed by an introduction to the purpose and requirements of the NPDES. After covering procedures for securing permits and discharging and testing pollutants, the learner will then go through NPDES compliance strategies to mitigate oil spills.
