Forklift Safety Operator Evaluation
Overview
1. The forklift driver has received formal instruction (information people to need to know and understand about forklift operation.) This training can be acquired via Alliance Safety Council’s SAF Forklift Safety (12SAFFSW)
2. The forklift driver receives “practical training” (hands-on training) on the specific type of forklift he or she will be using.
Forklift Evaluations must be done at the employer’s site using the same type forklift that the student will be using in doing his or her work. Results of the evaluation are turned over to the employer who then determines whether to certify the candidate.
