SAF Confined Space gives trainees a basic understanding of confined space hazards and the general requirements of the OSHA Confined Space Standard.

Trainees will gain an understanding of:

  • The differences between confined spaces and “permit-required” confined spaces
  • The hazards associated with working in confined spaces
  • How to protect themselves from these hazards
  • Entry procedures
  • Reclassification procedures
  • Contractor requirements
  • The confined space entry permit
  • Training and duties of the entrant, attendant, and entry supervisor
  • Rescue and emergency services
