This course consists of 5 modules which upon successful completion the participate will be awarded the Certificate for Occupational Safety Managers. In order to receive the final COSM certificate participants must meet all of the following requirements:

• Successfully complete the 1-week course.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of safety, health or environmental work experience
• Turn in all completed assignments

Prerequisites will be verified at the time of registration. Challenges to prerequisite requirements should be directed to our administrative offices. The course consists of five modules:

• Essentials of Safety Management
• Managing Risk & Safety Finance
• Communicating the Safety Message
• Injury Management, Incentives and Discipline
• Strategic Planning & Evaluating for Safety Success

COSM graduates must recertify every 3 years.
