Alliance Safety Council offers 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response training that meets or exceeds the requirements set forth in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120. Participants will receive training through lectures, skills demonstrations, and scenario-based exercises. Topics will include all operations level content plus plugging and patching, incident management, response scenarios, and drum handling/overpacking. Participants will understand hazard and risk assessment techniques, termination procedures, and basic toxicological terminology and behavior. Participants will demonstrate proficiencies in the selection and use of specialized chemical protective equipment to include SCBA, advanced control/containment measures, air monitoring, and the implementation of an incident command system.

Important: Due to the use of air-supplying respirators, students will be required to present a valid fit test for SCOTT or MSA along with a signed indemnification agreement during the registration process.
